San Juan Master Chorale History

What began as a group of friends, inspired by Amber Lauridsen’s vision of a local masterworks chorale and helping to organize and present the Chorale’s first performance, “Messiah” in December 2022 to great success, has grown into a Washington-registered not-for-profit corporation with IRS 501c3 charitable organization status.  Our active Board of Directors, who serve as its main volunteers, meet monthly to help guide the direction of the Chorale.

In 2023, Amber was hired as the Master Chorale’s Artistic Director and Conductor.  An excellent teacher and conductor, she works tirelessly to prepare the chorale to present the world’s choral masterworks in a winsome way.  She has also been able to enlist some of the community’s best instrumentalists as accompanists for her concert selections.

San Juan Master Chorale Mission Statement

The stated Mission of San Juan Master Chorale is to inspire, nurture and educate through choral music.  We endeavor to continue that mission as we seek to edify our community with beautiful music.
